I started this oil painting back in January of this year, 2025. Recently I just completed the painting after applying multiple layers of paint to the canvas, creating a textured snow effect in the foreground with a tint of blue. The red barn was interesting with the distinct colors and textures of the wood that made up the barn. The centerpiece of the work is the wagon right in the middle, as the wagon gives the canvas a great perspective as the barn is sitting atop a gentle hill. It is a light blue cloudless sky, and the trees are bare and cold with snow on the limbs.

It is a Red Barn in the Winter in Schoharie County, New York.
