Last picture of the late winter, early spring paintings. Bare trees & bushes, brown lawns, stark looking in general. This home is located next door to the Schoharie Chamber of Commerce. A multi-family home on a 0.3-acre lot built around 1920. Again, not much history on the building, a plain Jane type of dwelling with no real curb appeal. Like most buildings on Main Street in the village, 254 Main Street went through a significant event in August 2011 during Hurricane Irene. The nearby Schoharie Creek overflowed dramatically, rushing through the heart of the village and inundating Main Street with up to 7 feet of water. Nearly every home and business on this strip required extensive gutting, rebuilding, or structural restoration following the flood.
